Movie screening benefits hospital
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, February 2, 2007
A movie theater in Oxford, England has arranged a pre-screening of "Charlotte's Web" on Feb. 4, 2007, with proceeds benefitting Oxford Children's Hospital.
The Vue Cinema at the Ozone Leisure Center will host a special screening of the children's movie, featuring the voices of well-known actors Julia Roberts, John Cleese, Robert Redford, and others. The screenplay is based on the novel by E.B. White.
A mother whose 3-year-old son is a regular patient at Children's Hospital contacted the theater to see if it would be willing to donate tickets to the hospital for an upcoming show. The theater responded, arranging the special screening and donating 350 tickets that are for sale at the hospital.
