Adobe Acrobat flaw allows attacks on computers

E-Health Trend Watch, February 2, 2007

Computer security researchers have found a vulnerability in Adobe Reader Software, according to an Associated Press article. The flaw allows cyberintruders to attack personal computers through trusted Web links. Any Web site that hosts PDF files is vulnerable to attack. The researchers recommend that users upgrade their version of Internet Explorer or change Firefox user options so the browser does not use the Acrobat plug-in. The flaw targets Microsoft's Internet Explorer Web browser as well as Mozilla's Firefox browser.
