Medicare to cover astigmatism-correcting lenses
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, January 31, 2007
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is permitting astigmatism-correcting lenses as an option for Medicare beneficiaries, according to the FASA Web site.
Patients electing this option will have to cover any additional costs of the lenses beyond the payment Medicare issues for a standard intraocular lens.
