State seeks to remove nursing home administrator
LTC Liability Monitor, January 22, 2007
The New York state Attorney General's (AG) office filed a lawsuit seeking the removal of a Brooklyn nursing home CEO and administrator, reported the North Country Gazette of New York. The AG's lawsuit also seeks rescission and restitution of excessive compensation paid to the administrator from her positions as a board member and her son, who was a computer consultant to both facilities, and repayment of interest on unauthorized loans. The AG's lawsuit alleges that the administrator circumvented board oversight at the nursing homes and thereby enriched herself and her family, according to the Gazette.
