ASC Quality Collaboration supports Congress's quality information initiative
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, December 26, 2006
The ASC Quality Collaboration has announced its support of Congress's initiative to make quality information on hospital outpatient and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) services available to the public, according to a press release from the ASC Quality Collaboration.
The collaboration believes the availability of this information will help the public make better healthcare choices.
"As ASCs provide exceptionally high quality and value to Medicare beneficiaries as well as to the Medicare program, the ASC Quality Collaboration looks forward to working in close partnership with CMS to implement quality measurement that leads to improved patient care in all outpatient surgical settings," said Donna Slosburg, coordinator for the ASC Quality Collaboration, in the press release.
