Bayer to revive vintage jingle
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, December 22, 2006
A well-known jingle that debuted in 1975 and has been ranked as one of the 15 best advertising campaigns of all time is getting a modern makeover. Alka-Seltzer is launching a competition challenging people across the country to rewrite and perform the famous "Plop, plop, fizz, fizz" jingle. The competition is part of a year-long campaign celebrating the 75th anniversary of Bayer's heartburn remedy. The grand prize winner will receive $10,000 and the chance to appear in a national TV ad that will air during the pre-game of the Super Bowl on February 4, 2007.
