Survey: Americans support hospital growth
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, December 8, 2006
Americans overwhelmingly support hospital growth, development, and expansion, according to a national survey by the Boston-based Saint Consulting Group, which specializes in the politics of land use planning issues. A sample of 1,000 Americans found that 71% would support a new hospital, 90% would support an increase in emergency room capacity at their local hospital, 78% prefer to be within 10 miles of a hospital, and 74% support not-for-profit over for-profit hospitals.
