Hospitals on Kauai testing EHR system
E-Health Trend Watch, December 8, 2006
An 18-month research study is underway to integrate an open-source electronic health records (EHR) system in two hospitals and three rural clinics on Kauai, HI, as a test for the 12 state hospitals, according to an article in the Star-Bulletin of Honolulu. The U.S. Department of Defense is funding the program through the Telemedicine and Advanced Technologies Research Center.
