Texas governor issues executive order to advance EMRs

Texas governor Rick Perry recently signed an executive order and created the Texas Health Care System Integrity Partnership. The partnership's goals are to advance the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and
· enable the secure, electronic exchange of health information
· provide consumers with access to information about the price and quality of healthcare goods and services, as well as health insurance products
· foster a robust and competitive small employer health insurance market
