Web site allows residents to compare facilities, health plans
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, November 15, 2006
A new Web site allows residents of Florida to see data on conditions and procedures related to quality of care, pricing, and performance at the state's hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.
The Web site, located at www.floridacomparecare.gov, also allows residents to compare information about costs, benefits, and performance of health plans throughout the state.
"The goal of Governor Jeb Bush, the Florida Legislature and the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) is to improve care and reduce costs by giving citizens like you the tools to compare outcomes and prices between health care providers and medical services," according to a welcome statement greeting visitors to the site.
