Multiphase campaign urges long-term care planning
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, November 10, 2006
In an effort to increase awareness about the importance of planning for future long-term care needs, the Department of Health and Human Services, the National Governors Association, and a coalition of individual state governors has launched the third phase of the "Own Your Future" campaign.
The campaign includes a direct-mail effort targeting households with members ages 45 to 70. The direct-mail piece is a letter signed by the state's governor stressing the importance of long-term care. Consumers can also order a long-term care planning kit that includes state-specific information about long-term care information services.
