Videoconferencing used to seek input from stroke experts

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Passavant is using videoconferencing technology to seek input from stroke experts. The technology allows a neurologist from the center's Stroke Institute to participate in cases 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The specialists can speak with emergency physicians, patients, and family members. The center is implementing the technology to improve care at its hospitals.
