CCHIT certifies 11 ambulatory EHR products
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, November 1, 2006
The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) approved 11 new ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) products, adding to the list of 22 products approved in July, according to a press release from CCHIT.
CCHIT was awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in 2005 to develop, create prototypes for, and evaluate certification criteria for EHRs. Ambulatory EHR products must meet more than 200 criteria for functionality, security, and interoperability to receive CCHIT certification. The following products were approved in the latest round of testing:
- ABELMed PM-EMR by ABELSoft
- AcerMed by AcerMed
- Avatar by Netsmart Technologies
- Bond Clinician EHR by Bond Technologies
- CareRevolution by EHS
- Medical Practice EMR by CPSI
- MediNotes e by MediNotes
- MedPlexus EHR by MedPlexus
- Noteworthy EHR by Noteworthy Medical Systems
- PrimeSuite by Greenway Medical Technologies
- Sunrise Ambulatory Care by Eclipsys
