ASCs urged to submit comments on proposed 2008 changes
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, November 1, 2006
Ambulatory surgery center (ASC) leaders are asking for help to shape legislation that will affect the entire ASC industry, according to statements from the Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society (OOSS), American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (AAASC), and FASA.
OOSS is urging its members and all ophthalmic ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) to submit comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regarding the proposed new ASC payment system and updated Medicare-approved ASC procedure list, according to a statement on the OOSS Web site.
The American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (AAASC) is also encouraging the industry to submit comments on these proposed regulation changes for 2008, according to a press release from the AAASC.
The deadline to submit comments on this proposed rule is November 6.
