Gas leak occurs near Miami nursing home
LTC Liability Monitor, October 23, 2006
A local gas company scurried to cap a gas leak yesterday located between a construction site and a nursing home in Miami, according to WSVN/Fox News. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene where a backhoe ruptured a two-inch metal gas line between the two buildings causing the gas to leak out. One of the structures is under construction and is unoccupied. The workers at the site were asked to move back from the location of the leak. Employees in the other building, an occupied nursing home, moved residents to other parts of the facility but did not evacuate them, reported WSVN.
