Oregon system discloses death rates by procedure
E-Health Trend Watch, October 20, 2006
Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland is posting hospital death rates online for a broad range of procedures. The move is aimed at giving OHSU the lead in disclosing performance data to patients as well as the employers and government agencies that pay for healthcare.
