Final day to comment on proposed ASC payment rule
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, October 10, 2006
Today is the deadline to submit comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on the proposed ambulatory surgery center (ASC) payment rule.
The American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (AAASC) is encouraging all ASCs and state ASC associations to submit comments. The AAASC believes the proposed rule, if passed, would "have a chilling affect on ASCs whose business is focused on serving Medicare beneficiaries," according to a press release from the association.
