Physicians' Foundations invests $2.6 million to support doctors
E-Health Trend Watch, September 22, 2006
Boston-based Physicians' Foundations for Health Systems Excellence announced a $2.6 million program-related investment to help physicians use health IT (HIT) to improve patient safety. The Physicians' Foundations made the move due to a failure of the market to supply an affordable, easy-to-use product that allows small practices to use HIT. DocSite, LLC, of Cary, NC, is the recipient of the financial package. DocSite is a quality improvement company that focuses on a systematic approach to improving outcomes through evidence-based medicine measures and patient education content at the point of care.
