The Plano, TX-based information technology firm Perot Systems Corporation has been awarded a $16.1 million contract to continue support for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services National Women's Health Information Center (NWHIC) for five more years. Perot Systems was first awarded the contract in 1998, according to a release.
The NWHIC provides free women's health information on more than 800 topics, such as pregnancy and eating disorders. The NWHIC also features an interactive Web site, a toll-free hotline, and thousands of publications, according to the release.
