APTA asks patients to write Congress about caps
Rehab Private Practice Alert, September 20, 2006
The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is hoping for Medicare beneficiaries and other patients who receive therapy will write to their local Congressmen asking for an extension to the therapy caps.
Therapists can direct their patients to www.apta.org or print up a poster with the information to help patients understand the exceptions process and why it should be extended.
APTA says it hopes by having a large number of patients write in, it will send a message that therapy is important to everyone, and not just to therapists.
