CMS: Majority satisfied with contractor-provider relationship

The majority of Medicare healthcare providers are satisfied with the customer service, claims processing, and educational activities provided by the Medicare fee-for-service contractors, according to the first annual Medicare Contractor Provider Satisfaction Survey (MCPSS) conducted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

CMS sent the survey to more than 25,000 randomly selected providers, including physicians, suppliers, healthcare practitioners, and institutional facilities. Eighty-five percent of respondents rated their contractors between four and six on a six-point scale (six being the highest rating).
