Several agencies sign agreements to forestall diversity hearings
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, September 15, 2006
Several advertising agencies under scrutiny for lackluster diversity-hiring practices have pledged to increase their minority recruiting, and have signed agreements designed to forestall public hearings planned for later in September, according to an article in Advertising Age. Executives familiar with the agreements between the agencies and the Human Rights Commission said they do not include quotas or fines, but the Commission is expected to review the matter after some time, according to the article. Each one of the 15 agencies subpoenaed by the Commission to appear at the public hearings is expected to sign the agreements.
