FHA launches healthcare Web site to assist consumers
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, September 8, 2006
The Florida Hospital Association (FHA) has launched a new consumer-oriented Web site to assist the public in researching and managing their healthcare information, according to a FHA release. On the site, available at www.floridainformedpatient.com, consumers can search for a hospital based on the service it provides and its location.
The site also provides checklists for patients to use when selecting a hospital, a physician, or a health plan, and gives links to a variety of healthcare sites providing quality and pricing information. The site will also be updated as new resources become available, according to the release.
