University's technology chief quits after security problem
E-Health Trend Watch, September 1, 2006
Bill Sams, chief technology officer at Ohio University in Athens, has announced that he is leaving his post at the university, saying that someone with more energy should help the school update a computer system that had five recent electronic break-ins. The breaches to the systems at the university exposed about 367,000 files containing patients' Social Security numbers, names, medical records, and home addresses.
