Eclipsys buys firm with operations in India

Eclipsys of Boca Raton, FL, has agreed to purchase Sysware Healthcare Systems of Baroda, India. Eclipsys has been selling the company's laboratory information system since 2004 as a rebranded module in its Sunrise line of clinical information technology products.
The acquisition will add about 130 employees to Eclipsys and give the healthcare information systems company a development and support organization in India. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
