MA Web site would let consumers compare costs
E-Health Trend Watch, August 18, 2006
A new healthcare reform law in Massachusetts is aimed at driving down the cost of healthcare by allowing consumers to compare prices for items such as office visits, diagnostic tests, surgeries, and other therapies. The current site only lists where a hospital ranks when compared to the most expensive, moderately priced, or the least expensive hospitals.
