Governor backs Schiavo nurse
LTC Liability Monitor, August 10, 2006
Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has gone to the aid of an embattled nurse facing the loss of her license, reported NewsMax.com. The Board of Nursing of the Florida Department of Health filed to revoke the nurse's license for remarks she made in an interview with CNN recalling Michael Schiavo's treatment of his wife, Terri, her patient for over a year. The complaint says the nurse's comments were inflammatory against Michael Schiavo, but her attorney and Bush insist that the information was already public record in the ongoing lawsuit between Michael and Terri's parents.
