NQF publishes additional Hospital Care Performance Measures
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, July 28, 2006
The healthcare quality measurement corporation National Quality Forum (NQF) has published additional standards to its Hospital Care Performance Measures. The additions supplement the 66 voluntary consensus standards for measuring the performance of acute care hospitals, according to an NQF release. All the measures and their specifications can be viewed on the NQF Web site, www.qualityforum.org.
"The endorsement of three additional measures of mortality and care coordination means that these topics, which consumers have identified as being of high priority, will start being more common in quality reports that consumers can use," said NQF President Janet M. Corrigan in a statement.
