First Data Healthcare and Medem announce partnership

First Data Healthcare Services and Medem are partnering on a personal health service and debit card. The new service and card deliver integrated access to the patient's medical records, health plan information, and medical savings accounts. Through iHealthCard, employers, third-party administrators, and health plans can offer a single card to consumers to help them manage their care.
Physicians, hospitals, and clinics will be able to distribute a branded personal health card to patients that links to their health record and allows for automated eligibility. Medem is a medical-society-founded company based in San Francisco that offers an online personal health record. First Data Healthcare Services is part of electronic-commerce provider First Data Corporation, based in Greenwood Village, CO.
