Try these fire safety training ideas

Does your fire safety program incorporate live presentations? Fire safety is a broad topic, and one that supervisors could easily spend a day reviewing. Sometimes it helps to bring in a lecturer to make textbook copy or online training come alive. You might wish to call in an expert to help lead the session.

Call a representative from the local fire department. Many departments employ an education officer to speak to schools and businesses. Why not invite that person to speak to your staff? (In some cases, as a professional courtesy, the representative may be willing to speak to another safety group for free!)

Use in-house staff. When performing training in ergonomics, many lab directors call upon the facility's physical therapy or occupational therapy team, oftentimes in a no-billing or barter arrangement. Why not do something similar at your facility? Maybe there is a fire educator or safety officer with a fire safety background who would lead a training seminar for you.
