New study challenges perception of physician work ethic
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, July 7, 2006
A new study indicates that older physicians are placing a greater emphasis on quality of life and organizational support, challenging previous research that showed these were priorities mainly for younger doctors. The survey, which compared responses from 264 physicians, was conducted by the Irving, TX-based Delta Physician Placement and Drury University in Springfield, MO. The survey also found that more than one third of physicians are "highly motivated" to leave their employer and that they believe their employer "falls far short of expectations."
