Insurers supporting online doctor visits
E-Health Trend Watch, June 30, 2006
Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield has joined ranks with other insurers that now support online visits. More than 400,000 members of the New York HMO will be able to access a Web-based service that facilitates payer-reimbursable online visits with physicians. Cigna Healthcare and Aetna have announced similar plans as well.
