CDC conducts National Survey of Ambulatory Surgery
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, June 27, 2006
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is conducting a National Survey of Ambulatory Surgery this summer, and FASA is urging those ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) randomly selected to participate.
The survey is "intended to gather and disseminate statistical data about ambulatory surgery services provided by ASCs and hospital outpatient departments," according to a statement from FASA.
ASCs chosen to participate will receive a letter from the National Center for Health Statistics.
