Illinois practice finds success with wellness program
Rehab Private Practice Alert, June 14, 2006
Monroe Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine is set to open up its fourth rehab practice in Illinois since 1994 and the second since April based in large part on the success of its combination of therapy, fitness, and wellness programs, the Belleville News-Democrat reported.
Monroe Physical Therapy recently introduced a wellness program called Intervent, which helps clients reduce cardiovascular health risks, addressing heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, weight management, stress management, and smoking cessation, according to the News-Democrat.
The integration of the three fields has helped two of Monroe's practices land nods as top 10 therapy practices in the country by Focus on Therapeutic Practices, an organization that evaluates PT practices across the country.
