Insurers use IT to influence physicians and patients
E-Health Trend Watch, June 9, 2006
A report entitled "Health Plan Predictions" by First Consulting Group predicts that health insurers are using health IT to influence physicians and patients. The plans will use the Internet to provide tips for staying healthy and keeping costs down. The plans help healthcare providers acquire technology and use information to point patients toward particular physicians.
