Canadian province spending $116 million on EMRs
E-Health Trend Watch, June 9, 2006
Alberta is funding $116 million for an electronic medical record system that will allow doctors and pharmacists to immediately access patients' records and drug purchases. Health Minister Iris Evans said that it will take three years to fully develop the Alberta Netcare network. The network hopes to include diagnostic images and lab results in the future.
