Report: Open-source software will reduce IT costs
E-Health Trend Watch, June 2, 2006
A report released by the California Health Care Foundation concludes that open-source software will reduce the cost of health information technology and help physician networks exchange information. According to the report, open standards along with an open source community could fill the gaps in electronic medical records technology and network infrastructure.
