Allscripts to buy back part of GE's stake in company
E-Health Trend Watch, May 19, 2006
Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, a Chicago-based healthcare information technology vendor, announced plans to buy back a part of General Electric Co.'s (GE) ownership stake in Allscripts. This involves 1.25 million of the slightly more than 7 million shares of Allscripts stock acquired by GE when it purchased IDX Health Systems in January.
