WebMD to operate private-access sites
E-Health Trend Watch, May 19, 2006
WebMD has signed contracts with health insurers and employers to operate private-access sites on which employees can monitor their medical records, conduct research, and compare healthcare costs and ratings. Employers or their insurers pay licensing fees to WebMD based on the services and number of health plans.
