Rehab Private Practice Alert, May 17, 2006
The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) gave members five pieces of advice for contacting members of Congress about rehab issues during its annual federal government affairs forum.
APTA advised members to
- keep messages brief and simple

- let legislators know what action they are seeking
- be prepared to answer legislators' questions
- follow up to restate the message
Therapists should maintain contact with their state representative about the therapy cap and direct access, advised to APTA.
