Zix Corp. to participate in HHS e-prescribing grant
E-Health Trend Watch, May 5, 2006
Zix Corporation announced that it will participate in an initiative created by SureScripts to help set government e-prescribing standards. SureScripts is the recipient of a $2 million grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of the agency's Medicare prescription drug benefit program. The initiative is designed to test the effectiveness of new and proposed e-prescribing standards. Zix PocketScript users in Massachusetts and New Jersey will participate. Based on the outcome, HHS will adopt the final standards to enhance the value of e-prescribing.
