CMS announces $50 payment adjustment for NTIOLs
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, May 2, 2006
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced an additional $50 payment for New Technology Intraocular Lenses (NTIOLs) furnished in ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs).
The transmittal instructs carriers to accept the $50 payment adjustment for using HCFA Common Procedure Coding System code Q1003 effective for services on or after February 27 with an implementation date of May 22.
