OT named as top profession by Money Magazine
Rehab Private Practice Alert, April 19, 2006
Money Magazine named the profession of occupational therapist as one of the top 50 jobs in America in its most recent issue.
The magazine rated jobs by compensation, stress levels, flexibility in hours, creativity, growth of the field, and ease of advancement in the field.
The need for OTs is expected to increase by 34% over the next decade, according to Money, with current salaries averaging $51,973. To make the list, a job had to have an average pay of above $50,000 and had to have more than 15,000 workers in the field.
