A look at how to easily stay on top of IC.2.10’s annual risk analysis

Under standard IC.2.10, the JCAHO requires hospitals to annually review a risk analysis of infectious disease levels. Infection risks vary by hospital due to patient populations, surrounding communities, services and programs offered, and other factors, IC.2.10 states. In addition, infection risks can change with time, which is part of the rationale to conduct the assessments annually, the JCAHO states. ICPs must consider all of these differences among hospitals when designing risk-analysis programs and treatment and care services, according to the JCAHO.
