Man dressed in scrubs caught stealing on security tape
Healthcare Security Weekly, April 17, 2006
Cameras caught a man from Grand Blanc, MI, stealing personal effects from doctors' coats in the doctors' lounge at Genesys Regional Medical Center, the Flint Journal reports.
Law enforcement and hospital officials say the man wore scrubs to move freely through the hospital. When the hospital suffered a rash of thefts in previous weeks, security officers set up video cameras.
The man agreed to plead guilty to larceny and stolen credit card charges. He must repay his victims and keep away from Genesys Regional Medical Center.
