Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, April 21, 2006
New research confirms the importance of search in influencing consumer's offline buying decisions. In all, 25% of searchers in the study purchased an item directly related to their query. Of those buyers, 37% completed their purchase online. But an even greater number, 63%, completed a purchase offline following their search activity.
The study was conducted by Reston, VA-based consumer behavior consultancy comScore Networks and sponsored by the Mountain View, CA-based search engine company Google.
