Study finds barriers to patient-centered care

Only 22% of physicians effectively implement techniques necessary for delivering patient-centered care, according to a study in the April 10 issue of Archives of Internal Medicine.

Physicians reported lack of training and high costs as barriers to providing patient-centered care, according to a press release by The Commonwealth Fund, which conducted the study. Other results include:
