Majorty of Kentucky physicians renew licenses online

Nearly 65% of Kentucky physicians who renewed their professional licenses since December used a new online service, according to a report by Government Technology.

All active medical and osteopathic physicians are eligible to use the electronic license renewal service, which was launched in December 2005. Physicians access the service on Kentucky's official Web portal and are asked to verify and update information, answer qualifying questions, and submit payment.

The online renewal program will be available until April 1. After that point, the Board of Medical Licensure plans to incorporate suggestions from physicians to improve the service during the next renewal cycle, according to the article.
