AAFP develops tools to aid PVRP

The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) last week released a series of online tools to aid family physicians interested in participating in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS) physician voluntary reporting program (PVRP), according to an AAFP news release.

Under the PVRP, physicians report indicators of quality care on a voluntary basis and receive feedback from CMS on their performance. Physicians report the quality data to CMS using a dedicated set of Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System codes, known as G codes, that supplement the claims data currently submitted to CMS with clinical data.
