E-Health Trend Watch, March 31, 2006
Connecticut-based BLR has launched Safety.BLR.com. The site has tips that employees can take to minimize the effects of the cold and flu. Experts at BLR suggest that safety managers remind employees to take simple precautions to reduce outbreaks. It is estimated that, on average, each person has four colds per year and that colds costs businesses $20 billion-$25 billion annually. The site features a free white paper called Cold and Flu in the Workplace-A Migraine for Employers. The paper gives advice on prevention and treatment and debunks common myths.
